To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government including Defence and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education; To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education; To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc.
KVS RO GUWAHATI
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Guwahati Region was established in the year 1973. Over the years, the Region has been expanding with more and more number of Schools and presently the number of Vidyalayas reaching the total of 42 as per the re-organisation of Vidyalayas. KVS Guwahati Region now comprises of 42 Vidyalayas in Assam. The Regional Office Started To Function From Its Own Building From April 2005..
